OA Academy Announces UK–Myanmar Heritage Collaboration
OA Academy is pleased to announce Heritage, Craft & Climate: A Cultural Dialogue Between Bath and Yangon, a new project supported by the British Council’s Connections Through Culture (CTC) programme.
The collaboration brings together architects Chaw Kalyar (Myanmar) and Geoff Rich Co-Founder of Octopus Associates (UK) to explore how the architectural heritage of Bath and Yangon can help shape more sustainable, climate-responsive cities.
The project will examine traditional building practices, community engagement, public spaces, green mobility and cultural crafts, with findings shared through both digital and in-person events.
Connections Through Culture supports international partnerships between artists, cultural professionals and organisations across the UK, Asia Pacific and Europe, fostering creative responses to shared global challenges including climate change, sustainability and inclusion.
